June Meeting–June 15, 2016

The June meeting of the Making the Most of Retirement special interest group, co-sponsored by the OSU Emeriti Association and the Stillwater Public Library, will be held on June 15, beginning at 1:30.  All Stillwater-area retirees are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the 3rd Floor Reception Area of the Stillwater Public Library.  The speaker, Louise Schroeder, will present information about housing designed for seniors that enables them to age in place.

May Meeting–May 18, 2016

The May meeting of the Making the Most of Retirement special interest group, co-sponsored by the OSU Emeriti Association and the Stillwater Public Library, will be held on May 18, beginning at 1:30.  All Stillwater-area retirees are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the 3rd Floor Reception Area at the Stillwater Public Library.  The speakers, Dr. Stan Grogg and Barbara Grogg, are presenting a program in the armchair traveler series.  Their program is comprised of two parts:  The Hidden Treasures of the Silk Road and The Adriatic Sea.  The Groggs have traveled through more than 150 countries and often serve as international tour guides.

April Meeting–April 20, 2016

The April meeting of the Making the Most of Retirement special interest group, co-sponsored by the OSU Emeriti Association and the Stillwater Public Library, will be held on April 20, beginning at 1:30.  All Stillwater-area retirees are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the 3rd Floor Reception Area at the Stillwater Public Library.  The speaker, Cynthia Lincoln, ombudsman supervisor at the COEDD-Area Agency on Aging, will present information about Oklahoma’s long-term care ombudsman program.

The March meeting of the Making the Most of Retirement special interest group, co-sponsored by the OSU Emeriti Association and the Stillwater Public Library, will be held on March 16, beginning at 1:30.  All Stillwater-area retirees are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the 3rd Floor Reception Area of the Stillwater Public Library.  The speaker, Toni Wolfe, executive director of Primrose Retirement Community, will present “Transitioning into Assisted Living.”

February Meeting–February 17, 2016

The February meeting of Making the Most of Retirement special interest group, co-sponsored by the OSU Emeriti Association and the Stillwater Public Library, will be held on February 17, beginning at 1:30.  All Stillwater-area retirees are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in the 3rd Floor Reception Area at the Stillwater Public Library.  The speakers, Drs. Doug and Kathryn Castle Aichele, will make a presentation titled “Sled Dog Tales. . . It’s All About the Dogs.”  Accompanying them will be their sled dogs, Gumbie and Vulcan.
